Baugnez 44 Historical Center

Baugnez 44 Historical Center is situated at the exact spot over 80 US soldiers were executed by SS troops on december 17th 1944.
The owners did a good job by telling the story about the Baugnez massacre, better known as the Malmedy massacre. Nice displays, some vehicles, uniforms, weapons and a big maquette, displaying the situation on december 17th.
The design of the museum was later copied in the La Gleize museum. Not so strange: Baugnez and La Gleize do have the same (co) owners.

The museum is a new building, in the direct area of the monuments, dedicated to the fallen soldiers. What is pretty neat, just as in the baugnez historical center 2Bastogne War Museum, is that you can have an audio guide with you, telling the stories.
In one of the rooms you can see a film about the battle of the bulge.
